I love the staff and the food as well as the reminder of times when I was younger

Normally a good expierence but tonight 8/4/20 at 930pm the server on duty decided it was ok after 20 minutes not to wait on us. I am diabetic with 3 children and after years of coming to this place it is my first unhappy time. We actually had to get up and leave. She never once said anything to us. Gave us menus or anything. I am very disappointed.

Always a nice homey restaurant to go to.

They have great breakfast the goetta plate is absolutely amazing and you can smoke if you want to. Every time we go in we feel at home it's like family there. And the prices are not bad at all great prices great food!!!

Good food great time

I went to this place on a Friday night at 1am. The food was definitely a late night greasy spoon type fair. It was done very well though. The waitresses were efficient and got everything right including ensuring my wife did not get any milk products. They put off the air of being slightly annoyed that they had to have customers as you would expect from a place like this. I personally despise that they allow smoking driving home I smelled like smoke. Otherwise this place is what you want at 1 am when thinking about going to another bar.

Service was really good. The food is not that great.

It was my first visit so I went simple. Bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger was great and the plate was more than I could finish. The servers were super nice and the atmosphere was homey, clean and comfortable. I'll def be going back.

I really like their dishes. I always get good service here. The place is well organised and the workers are always kind. Keep up the good work.

Went there this morning. Should have left as soon as we walked in. The place smells awful. There was no other customers but there were dirty tables. The food was adequate, edible, but not good. And the best part was the manager (owner?) smoking non-stop in the dining room.

This would be a much better place if they would stop allowing customers to smoke inside the restaurant. It I s a very old, and grease stained place. When you enter this establishment you take 4 steps down, socially.

This place is AMAZING! I cannot say this enough. I love the smoking area its separate, and allows everyone their freedoms (GO USA). The prices are cheap and the food is fantastic! I can tell why they've been open so long!

Everything was perfect. Service was great. My veggie omelet was the best I've ever had and my 2 ordering of French toast by my grandson was super delicious to him too. I will be returning there for sure. He's been there multiple times and glad he recommended to me for our brunch date!

Love this place. Deep fried pickles. Breakfast anytime. And open almost always!

Great service, great Excellent food for the price.

This was a great time and even introduced our favourite family spot to someone new. I had coffee and we shared biscuits and gravy, chocolate chip hot cakes, chili cheese fries. We laughed and talked our server was friendly and always treats us like family. A delicious end to a long day.

This is a very cute little throwback diner. It's is open 24 hours and I believe me and a friend went in around 3 am. There was one server who was very nice but seemed a tad overwhelmed. The food was very good! Came out pretty quick and hot. The prices are very cheap and the portions were enough to fill me up. Odd crowd at 3 am but that is to be expected. Overall a good experience.

Haven't eaten at Pepper Pod in forever. My dad and I met Travis there for breakfast and it was really good. We all had some sort of omelette and holy cow, they were huge plus, hash browns and toast. Great food.

I just ordered a slightly large Uber eats from y’all and I feel like you purposely messed up my order and put a NAT in my drink on purpose. I got a sprite and there’s no way you didn’t see that. My steak was very overcooked, my eggs were undercooked, and my side of cottage cheese came in a sauce cup. As for the rest of my party that I had ordered for, they wouldn’t even eat their food. I’m sure the rest of my food had bugs in it too. Thank god I had enough cup of soup ramen to satisfy everyone.

If you miss that seventies to eighties restaurant feel go here, You get that greasy home cooking and a jukebox to boot..... I love this place straight forward and simple

I regularly come getting some food in this place. I liked the quick service and well made dishes. Keep up the good work.

First off, there was only one waitress when we first got there and they were pretty busy. She had to work both sides of the restaurant that was divided by a wall and take orders for carry out. I ordered the steak & cheese hoagie with green beans. My food was very good. My husband had the grilled chicken breast, onion rings and green beans. He said, "the chicken was overcooked it was a little dry".

I was in the filming of the Ted Bundy movie here. Food and service were awesome. If you want a late night meal, come here for it. It’s awesome

This place would be a five star but they do not offer no smoking during certain hours the place is filled with smoke at these times they also could utilize some decent salad dressing and catch it and steak sauce they use the worst generic brand ever it is not very palatable this place is really good food but they are just missing a few key points please change a simple points and you will be 5 stars

Best place in the Cincinnati / Newport area for Breakfast. I recommend the Slab of Goetta with a Goetta Omelet.

Great little family-owned Greasy Spoon in historic Newport. Barton Family celebrating 60 years in business. The food here is made from scratch. Hot, fresh and tasty. Friendly and fast service. Can get breakfast anytime. Smoking permitted but still a nice quiet atmosphere for a quick bite. Feel good kinda place!

This is clearly one of the tastiest place to eat in the region. Anytime I come to this place I am incredibly satisfied. They preserve their high standard service and the highest level of cooking they serve. You are always happy with this restaurant. Very recommended.

Food is very good, well seasoned. Only thing my family did not care for was smoking in the restaurant. So we were moved to a nice area with other guests that did not smoke. The food arrives fresh and very appealing.

Came in with my husband for a romantic affordable date night and were not disappointed. I had the liver and onions Best I have had in a while. He has sausage gravy and biscuits, hash browns fully loaded, eggs, and ham; I tasted it all and was very impressed. Will be back again really soon as I told our waitress who said she will be holding me to it!!!! I love a place that isn't afraid to be friendly with us.

Came down to Kentucky from east ohio for a mini vacation. Came down and was pointed to this place from a local bar. Food was FRESH so had to wait just a little and I'm fine with that. Waiter was nice and attentive when needed. Will definitely come back. Local dive in dine restaurant!

I told my friends about this place with my warmest recommendations. I go their often. This recommendation is always successful. The the cooking is great and the team is efficient and cooperative. Whenever we go to this place we pass a pleasant evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.

They have the best breakfast and you can get it any time. The servers are so friendly they make you feel at home.

Quick kind friendly service

This place has a true nostalgic feel like some diner from the 1950's. The food is more than fair priced. It is primarily comfort food ranging from giant fish and burger sandwiches to chicken and dumplings and even breakfast at anytime. The place is kept spotlessly clean and the service is not only fast but the staff are both courteous anticipate your needs. Dollar for dollar one of my favorite diners in Northern Kentucky! A Newport staple serving great food around the clock. Breakfast anytime and they have goetta. In my nearly 40 years, I've eaten here too many times to count, and I've never had anything less than a great meal. Affordable. Great service. I love The Pepper Pod.

The food here was really good and you can't beat the prices. Other than that, it probably looks the same as it did 50 years ago, way old school. And people do smoke in there, apparently that's still a thing in KY.

Another 24-hr eatery that's not Waffle House? Yes, please! Don't get me wrong: I like Waffle House for what it is, but sometimes I want a little more variety.
